The Chaalis Abbey
The Cistercian abbey of Chaalis, located one hour from Beauvais and Paris, is home to a park and rose garden. An invitation to relaxation and discovery.
Chaalis, located on the edge of the Ermenonville Forest, was made a royal abbey in 1136. Discover the ruins of the abbey church and admire the Renaissance frescos of the abbey chapel.
While in the area, visit the nearby Jacquemart-André Museum, with its sculptures, paintings and fine furniture dating from Antiquity to the 19th century. Then follow in the footsteps of Jean-Jacques Rousseau - a collection of personal objects will allow you to discover hidden aspects of this philosopher and his history linked to Ermenonville.
Next, stroll through the Chaalis Park and its rose garden, a veritable festival for the senses. Take the time to smell the fragrant Oriental plane trees, admire the old rose bushes, and bathe in the park's peace and quiet.
Every second weekend of June, the "Day of the Rose" is an excellent opportunity to rediscover this magnificent blossom at the peak of its flowering.

- From 12 November to 29 February: open only on Sundays and bank holidays, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 1:30 to 5:30 PM.
- From 1 March to 11 November: open daily from 11 AM to 6 PM.
The park, rose garden and medieval abbey:
From 12 November to 11 October: daily from 10 AM to 6 PM.
