Only 1 hour from the Beauvais Airport, discover the history of the barge- and boatmen of the Oise Canal in the village of Longueil-Annel.
Begin your visit with the museum-house, where you'll learn all about the history of river and canal navigation in Oise. Discover the history and evolution of the "bargee" trade, as well as the day-to-day life of barge- and boatmen via audio testimonies, objects and films.
Then visit the "Freycinet" barge, where you'll enjoy an intimate glimpse of the bargee's lifestyle and the values he holds dear: freedom, solidarity and mutual respect are fundamental.
Finally, immerse yourself in the life along the animated waterway. Audio-kiosks installed along the canal will describe to you the bargee trade. Stroll along the banks and take the time to observe the canal lock in action.

From 15 April to 14 October: open every day except Monday, from 10 AM to 7 PM.
From 15 October to 14 April: open every day except Monday from 1 to 6 PM and on weekends from 10 AM to 6 PM (reservations required for groups).
