Come discover two recreated workshops demonstrating the manufacture of buttons and dominoes, from the raw materials to the finished products.

The Mother-of-Pearl and Luxury Goods Museum, housed in a former button-making factory dating from the 19th century, showcases the very special savoir-faire of the Oise department's luxury-goods manufacturers. Visit the workshops and attend the demonstrations of button pumicing, turning, boring and engraving.

Continue your discovery of luxury goods manufacturing by visiting the upper-floor rooms, in which the museum's beautiful collections of clothing accessories (fans, buttons, finely chiselled belt buckles, opera glasses, etc.) are exhibited via a unique museography that is full of surprises. Fun, interactive terminals explain the history and savoir-faire behind the regional manufacturing of luxury goods, buttons, dominoes and fans.

Wrap up your tour with a visit to the Minelle workshop, a meticulous reproduction of the original workshop in which the Minelle family manufactured manicure items.

In the museum's lovely boutique, you'll find one-of-a-kind jewellery, dominoes, mother-of-pearl items, etc. The boutique is open from 2:30 to 6:30 PM on opening days (no admission required).
