Picard champagne

Picardy's champagne © Point Tourisme Beauvais Oise Picardie - 2011 / Belin Champagne on exhibit at the Tourist Information Desk in Terminal 2 of the Beauvais Airport

Picardy's AOC champagne is made in southern Aisne, 2 hours from the Beauvais-Tillé Airport!

Grapevines have been grown on the fertile soil of Aisne for centuries. Picardy's AOC champagne is made in the south of the department, near Château-Thierry, where 800 winegrowers care for nearly 3,000 hectares of vines dedicated to this precious bubbly.

These small growers and family vineyards represent 10% of French champagne production.

You may be surprised to learn that champagne is grown in Picardy, but you shouldn't be surprised to discover how delicious it is!
